Description

"Captain James T. Kirk", "Denny Crane", and "T.J. Hooker" are William Shatner's most noteworthy roles to date, however he had to get his start somewhere, and here we have an impressive piece from his first lead in a movie. After a decade of stage, television and minor roles in films, the Montreal native enjoyed his first leading role in a motion picture playing teacher Peter Gifford, in the 1961 feature film "The Explosive Generation". Bring this historic first into your collecting fold, with this original 1961 movie poster, which is signed by Shatner. This bright, crisp 27x41 one-sheet is nicely preserved in (EX) condition, and Shatner's prominent autograph on the white field at center shows off nicely as a ("9") strength example. The United Artists 1961 copyright is printed at lower left, and the poster is numbered "61/312" at bottom right. Auction LOA from JSA.
