Description

At first, it's almost shocking that any high-school football team would be worthy of such a fine, NFL-caliber panoramic tribute. But the Massillon Tigers were the cream of the crop, having won Ohio championships 5 straight years and attracting 132,000 spectators in 1939 alone! It was Paul Brown's 8th of 9 seasons at the helm, and it's rather appropriate that all his players are pictured standing since legend has it that he wouldn't let them sit down on the sideline benches—everyone had to stand for the duration. Brown is posed fourth from the left, his facial expression one of fiery intensity. The 52x8 panorama shows well-preserved EX condition with a few light perimeter stains. Still housed in the period original frame.
