Description

Just when we think we've seen it all and there's nothing new under the sun, a long-buried treasure gets unearthed—or, in this case, two! No doubt unique, the 4-foot-wide advertising display, along with its adjacently offered counterpart, appeared out of the ether in Massachusetts. Spotlighting Beantown Hall of Famers Williams and Doerr (whose careers overlapped from 1939 to 1951), the solid-wood promo for instructional films is 3/8" thick and stands 19" tall. It's original, unrestored and in surprisingly decent shape, especially the all-important faces. There are some incidental bumps and bruises throughout as expected, but still a rather miraculous state of preservation considering the size and vulnerability, with 99% of the text and graphics remaining intact.
