While most voters have turned their attention to this season's mid-term elections, you can take a pleasant break from all the political hubbub, by visiting with candidates from the past. Vying for your vote, is a 1900s-2000s collection of (220+) political items. Populated mainly with relics from presidential races, this century-spanning assortment includes many former presidents and a few also-rans, along with a minority delegation of those seeking other offices, and even a handful of items from outside the political spectrum.

Featured are:

1908 William H. Taft & James S. Sherman 9-1/2" diameter tin plate (VG-EX+), titled "Grand Old Party 1856-1908 Standard Bearers". Seen at center are candidates Taft for President and Sherman for Vice President, with the White House above their oval inset portraits. Ringing the perimeter are the Republican candidates for the described date, beginning with the first Republican presidential candidate John C. Fremont, and ending with Teddy Roosevelt. Also depicted are Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and six other GOP Standard Bearers; 

Harry Truman 22x18 framed display in like-new state, with two photos, the POTUS seal, and a single-word handwriting cut ("9") from a 1958 letter penned by Truman, with a photocopy of the full photo LOA from JSA that accompanied the original letter taped to the back;

John F. Kennedy 22-1/2 x 18-1/2" framed display in excellent condition, with a photo, an uncirculated 1964 silver JFK half dollar coin, an uncirculated clad JFK half dollar coin, a block of (4) postage stamps, a title plate, and a printed card with remarks from Kennedy's intended speech on the day he was assassinated;

John F. Kennedy 16-1/2 x 13-1/2" framed display in like-new state, with a 7-1/2 x 7-1/2" photo of Kennedy throwing out the first pitch at the 1962 Washington Senators season opener;

Dwight D. Eisenhower 1952 presidential campaign lighter (VG-EX);

Dwight D. Eisenhower 1974 Philatelic and Historical Society card (NM);

(10) Refrigerator magnets average (NM to MT) of modern make with: Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, (2) George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, (2) George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton;

(200+) Campaign and assorted pins range (75% EX to NM-MT, 25% GD to VG-EX). The great majority are originals, however a small number are reproduction types. Some of the many candidates are: Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Thomas Dewey, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, G.H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and G.W. Bush.
