If for no other reason, it's the presence of Al Lang (St. Petersburg mayor, ambassador of Florida spring-training baseball, namesake of Yankees' Al Lang Field) that pinpoints the gathering to St. Pete before the mid-1950s deaths of Connie Mack and Grantland Rice. The evenly toned, lightly soiled ONL (Frick) ball has light stampings and an elegant, Hancock-sized Mack signature that exhibits "8-9" strength. The rest of the autographs average "4-7".

Sweet Spot: Connie Mack, Stan Musial.

North Panel: Al Lang (d.1960), Lou Perini (d.1972), Jerry Coleman, John Quinn.

South Panel: Grantland Rice (d.1954), Bucky Harris, Artie Gore (ump), Billy Martin.

West Panel: Eddie Stanky, Ed Sawyer, Tommy Holmes, Enos Slaughter.

East Panel: Mel Allen, Phil Rizzuto, Duffy Lewis.

Reverse Sweet Spot: Luke Sewell.
