Washington, DC is the place you ought to be, if you want to get a politician's autograph. Such was the case for a Washington Senators batboy, way back in 1958. While performing his many duties at Griffith Stadium, twelve-year-old Scotty MacDougal had the chance to score an autograph from Richard M. Nixon, who was attending a 1958 Senators game. The sitting vice president granted young Scotty's request, by signing an OAL/Harridge baseball, that was on hand for game use. This period signed ball (EX) is signed ("8.5") on the east panel by Nixon, who has included the salutation "Good Luck Scotty, From". Accompanying this vintage treasure are a full photo LOA from PSA/DNA, and a 2013 letter of provenance on Washington Senators letterhead signed by MacDougal, stating he was the sole owner of this ball since 1958.
