Venezuelan-born David Ismael Concepcion Benitez was among the first and last members of the Big Red Machine, playing his entire 19-season career in Cincinnati from 1970 through 1988. At the time of this 1980-83 labeling period, Concepcion was coming off his second Gold Glove Award and would suit up for 8 straight All Star Games. His 35", 32-oz. Louisville Slugger bat shows outstanding use with a back-barrel crack, numerous stitch impressions and ball marks (such as black ink transfers and white leather scuffs), and light pine tar, plus Concepcion's gold-marker signature. Graded GU 8.5. Full LOA from PSA/DNA for game use. Auction LOA from JSA for autograph.
