If only this were the St. Mary's Industrial School where Babe Ruth got his baseball start! But the most likely origins are one of the nation's collegiate-level St. Mary's, if not a local semipro or factory team somewhere. The classic heavy-wool ensemble includes a 5-button jersey bearing a collar label with an illegible wearer name and shirt size 36. Aside from some scattered small moth holes to the blue felt "St M", the overall preservation is quite good. The button-fly pants are size 32, and the cap is size 7-1/2. There are some discreet moth holes to the stirrups.
