"Phold", "Phlop", "Phiasco", call it what you will, longtime Phillies fans will always remember the 1964 season as a memorable one. Sure the '64 Phils blew a big lead down the stretch, but there was plenty to cheer about all year long. Dick Allen turned in a Rookie of the Year campaign, Jim Bunning pitched a perfect game at Shea on Father's Day, Johnny Callison won the All-Star Game for the NL with a walk-off homer, Chris Short was spectacular, and up-and-comer Rick Wise showed great promise. Recall this solid Phillies squad, with this 1964 team-signed baseball. This Wilson Regulation League ball (EX+) hosts (24) autographs that range ("6" to "9") in potency. With one exception as noted below, these autographs appear to be period examples. Auction LOA from JSA.
