Famous fighters of the late 19th Century are recalled, with these (2) 1896-1898 Whitehead & Hoag boxing pins. The world's last bare-knuckle champion John L. Sullivan, and boxing's first three-division champion Bob Fitzsimmons, are both depicted in portrait images on these 7/8" diameter pins. Both pins retain their original factory printed paper backers, and both report handsomely. The Sullivan pin (EX) has a Whitehead & Hoag backer, and the Fitzsimmons pin (EX+) has an American Pepsin Gum backer.
