With all of 13 at-bats on his big league resume, Chris Heisey got the nod to leadoff and start in center field in the Cincinnati Reds’ May 18, 2010 battle against the Milwaukee Brewers. True to the task, Heisey doubled and scored the winning run to cap a three-run 9th inning and punctuate a 5-4 walk-off win. This Louisville Slugger (31.3-oz/34”) “T141” block-letter model lumber was used and autographed by the 25-year-old rookie that day. The item shows heavy use with ball, cleat, bat-rack and deeply embedded stitch marks throughout, as well as light pine-tar residue, a slight crack on the lower portion of the handle and a black marker notation of “28” on the knob. Between the center brand and barrel stampings, Heisey has signed in black marker (“7” strength) and inscribed “28.” Comes with full photo LOA from John Taube, PSA/DNA, as well as an MLB Authentication hologram.
