Few, if any, Fall Classic installments match the tense and taut nature of the 1975 version. Five of the seven contests were decided by one run. Six of the seven games featured come-from-behind wins. In fact, the only game that didn’t meet with one of the above-mentioned criteria was the series opener which, despite its 6-0 outcome, was an exciting battle as the rivals were scoreless through the first six innings. This baseball is autographed by (15) participants from that 1975 World Series opener. The clean white unofficial orb (grade “9”) showcases blue ballpoint pennings averaging (“8-9”) quality. Includes:
Sweet Spot: Yastrzemski; North Panel: Diego Segui, Reggie Cleveland, Bernie Carbo and Carlton Fisk; South Panel: Jim Rice, Clay Kirby and Jack Billingham; West Panel: Ken Griffey, Sr., Rick Burleson and Tom Yawkey (Red Sox owner); East Panel: Tim Blackwell, Will McEnaney, Don Bryant (Red Sox coach) and Luis Tiant.
