While he was to make appearances at eight different defensive positions (including pitcher) throughout his magnificent career, Jimmie Foxx was sparingly used at third base. But with Lou Gehrig selected as the starting first baseman for the 1935 All-Star Game, the hot corner was the only spot left for Foxx, who proved quite comfortable as he launched a first-inning home run to lead the Junior Circuit to a 4-1 win. Encapsulated and Graded PR 1 by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at Cleveland Stadium for that 1935 exhibition. The bright red “UPPER BOX” voucher features printed seating/event details and an obverse that presents quite nicely.
