A hurler for three different big league clubs and a pitching mentor for six teams, Sammy Ellis wore this Baltimore Orioles home jersey during the 2000 season, his only campaign at Camden Yards and his last in a Major League uniform. The white knit button-down garment features “Orioles” sewn across the chest in black-on-orange twill, “49” sewn to the back and “ELLIS” arched just above in like fashion. In the opposite color scheme, “49” is sewn to the left front. Black piping lines the collar, button path and sleeve endings, an Oriole Bird logo is sewn to the left sleeve and an MLB silhouette logo (in Orioles team colors) is sewn atop the back. On the left front tail, a “Majestic” label is accompanied by a size “48” tag. The left side seam’s interior is home to a fabric content tag with a “0062” gamer code. The all-original Birdland gamer shows heavy wear with dirt stains throughout.
