One of just five Major Leaguers born in Poland, Moe Drabowsky set a World Series single-game record by fanning 11 batters in relief. While that mark helped Baltimore to its first-ever title in 1966, Drabowsky returned as a special instructor in 1997 and wore this Orioles uniform. The ensemble includes a jersey, road pants, socks and a cap. Drabowsky has signed the jersey in black marker (“8-9” strength). The items feature proper tagging and show moderate wear. Moe Drabowsky 1997 Signed Game-Worn Baltimore Orioles Jersey: in his capacity as a special instructor during the club’s 1997 spring training session, Drabowsky wore and signed this jersey. The black mesh pullover garment features “Orioles” sewn across the chest in orange-on-white twill and “25” sewn to the back in like fashion. On the paraph accenting “Orioles,” Drabowsky has signed in black marker (“8-9” strength). Within the V-neck collar, a “Rawlings” size “44” label is accompanied by a fabric content flap tag. Within the left front tail, a “Rawlings” label has a black marker notation of “MOE DRAB” and is accompanied by a tag with chain-stitched identifiers reading “1 44,” as well as a flap tag denoting “SET 1 1997.”
Moe Drabowsky 1997 Game-Worn Baltimore Orioles Road Pants: gray knit leg wear with seven belt hoops, a zippered two-button fly, two micromesh-lined back pockets and orange-and-black striped trim lining the outer legs. The elasticized waistband’s interior is home to a “Rawlings” label, a swatch with embroidered identifiers reading “36 29 96” and a black marker notation of “Moe.” Sewn within the back seam, a “Rawlings” size “36” label is accompanied by a fabric content flap tag. Note: the aforementioned swatch identifiers suggest that the pants were issued in 1996. The original elasticized belt accompanies.
Moe Drabowsky 1997 Game-Worn Baltimore Orioles Cap: a black wool adjustable accessory with a Bird logo embroidered to the front center and a black button atop the six-point crown suspension. The lightly soiled interior sweatband is home to a “New Era” label and an MLB silhouette logo tag.
